Our aim

is to support whom the world call "The Lost Generation"


 

“Taalim” is a non-governmental non-profit institution established in January 2013 whose main objective is the deployment of education exclusively inside Syria, through the establishment of schools and literacy centers for kids, and insuring coverage of annual operating costs to sustain continuity.

“Taalim” is an institution registered in France, and is affiliated with “Codssy”.

Annually, Taalim supports 1,200 students on average since its inception.

“Taalim” Standards and Regulations:

  1. No attempts at imposing any political or ideological ideas in schools. Students shall not be forced to chant political slogans of any party.
  2. The curriculum used in “Taalim” schools is the same curriculum adopted in the Syrian Arab Republic. A curriculum recognized for admission to universities, with the ability to delete some parts that contain blunt ideology.
  3. Teachers are selected according to specific objective criteria, on the basis of teaching competence and experience, not discriminating in the selection on the basis of race, sect, sex, religion, political and ideological position and ethnicity.
  4. "Taalim” schools are committed to the Convention of a child’s right by the United Nations, which puts the interest of the child in the first place and does not discriminate between students on the basis of ethnicity, religion, sex or sect.

“Taalim” Schedule of works:

  1. To rehabilitate the existing schools and to equip them with all requirements and school supplies, adapting to the conditions of the regions.
  2. To cover the monthly costs.
  3. To provide training courses for teachers and supervisors.
  4. Providing psychological support for children to mitigate the negative effects caused by of the war.
